The goal of the Relationship Therapy Group is to help produce desired behavior change, provide insight into oneself and one's relationships and to facilitate personal growth in relationships for participants.


Group Therapy
Sometimes the best way to achieve a sense of well-being is by meeting with other people who have similar problems, under the guidance of a Mental Health Professional.

Participating Plans
We are a service provider for many major health plans including Blue Cross, Medica, Health Partners, Medicare, Minnesota Medical Assistance, Preferred One, Choice Plus, UCare, Managed Health Network, and Behavioral Health Care Providers.

 

Men and Women's Relationship Therapy Group

Relationships with spouses, parents, siblings, children, dating partners, life partners, friends, and relationships with coworkers and supervisors in the workplace are considered.

The group provides an atmosphere of honesty and support of one another while encouraging growth and change. The group plays the role of helping members develop personal goals, and monitors and encourages progress towards achieving these goals.

The group assists members in:

bullet Developing insight into their interpersonal relationship problems
bullet Generating possible solutions to interpersonal relationship problems
bullet

Implementing and maintaining solutions to interpersonal relationship problems

The group also helps members in:

Understanding behaviors and attitudes which are ineffective in promoting positive and health interpersonal relationships

bullet

Understanding and correcting self defeating behavior in relationships

bullet

Understanding emotional motivations and conflicts

Group members are asked to consider and evaluate their developmental history, family dynamics and relationship history with the group.

Each member of the group is expected to take an active role in presenting their own issues to the group, and in providing feedback and support to other members at group meetings.
